When the Data Quality Server Management Studio is started for the first time, the connection to the Data Quality Server is not yet set and the following dialog appears:
Click on the Options button to set up a connection:
The following settings are required:
Select server: <New server> is displayed here so that a new connection can be created. If a server has already been created, it can be selected and the settings changed ( DQServer in our example).
Name: You can assign any unique name here. The settings are saved under this name and can be called up again.
IP/Host: Enter the address of the PC or server on which the Data Quality Server is installed here.
Port: The same port is entered here as is set on the Microsoft Internet Information Services. By default, this is port 80.
Webservice folder: Specifies the folder in which the Data Quality Server is installed. This folder is created as a virtual directory when the Data Quality Server is installed.
Timeout (sec.): The amount of time that the Management Studio waits for a response from the Data Quality Server. The timeout is a global setting and applies to all functions. If the Data Quality Server Management Studio does not receive a response within the time set here, the error message "The server is not responding" is displayed.
Proxy: A proxy server is a cache. This cache saves visited websites so that they can be displayed more quickly when you visit them again, as the data does not have to be retrieved from the site server again.
If you use a proxy server within the company, please contact your in-house system administrator to find out the settings.
Once all the necessary settings have been made, click on the Save button. You can then log in to the Data Quality Server.
After an installation, the following user has all rights:
