The Workflow engine is included as standard with the Data Quality Server. It forms the overarching "business layer" with which individual Functionalities and web services can be orchestrated with others.
Individual services are combined into a newer "Composite service" or service group adapted to the respective specific requirements.
A coherent business logic is generated from the individual sub-functions and sub-sub-functions, each of which brings about individual changes.
The Workflow engine allows data quality processes to be quickly adapted to individual requirements.
The illustration shows a simple data quality workflow as it was created in the Management Studio is displayed.
It includes (from top to bottom) postal validation, manual validation, Duplicate check with if/then workflow for secure (ID assignment) and unsafe (ClearingMonitor for JAVA-Case) duplicate assignment.
The workflow can be extended with additional steps, branches and your own scripts as required. Or you can create completely separate workflows that can be linked.
The Data Quality Server serves as a platform on the basis of which new services that are flexibly adapted to your own requirements can be integrated into a workflow.
This enables tasks to be processed quickly and efficiently, as functionalities do not have to be called up individually via a network connection - which, at an average of 10ms per call, quickly adds up to major time losses for larger tasks - but are addressed directly within the workflow.
